Workshop participants will learn how to write fresh body language and dialogue cues for POV and non-POV Characters -- and how to write them with power.
Facial expressions: lips, eyes, chin, full face, flicker-face, micro-expressions
Kinesics: communicating by body movement
Gesture Types: emblems, illustrators, regulators, beat gestures, affect displays
Dialogue Cues: How the writer describes how the dialogue is delivered. Dialogue cues are one part of writing nonverbal communication. They’re one part writers often overlook.
Participants will also learn how to write Body Language and Dialogue Cues with psychological power by:

Margie Lawson —psychotherapist, writer, and international presenter – analyzed hundreds of hours of body language and nuances of speech delivery in her post-master’s psych specialization. A former university professor, Margie taught psychology, communication, and group dynamics courses at the graduate and doctoral levels. She uses her kinesics expertise in every clinical session as well as when a Trauma Specialist facilitating group sessions for Critical Incidents.
Margie developed psychologically-based editing systems and deep editing techniques used by everyone, from new writers to multi-award winning authors. She teaches writers how to add psychological power to create page turners.
