Our Next Meeting Features Cynthia Vespia on “Writing Action Scenes.”

“Big guy, big reach. Skinny guys fight ’til they’re burger.” (Fight Club, 1999)
Hollywood has been doing it for years, now it’s your turn to learn. In this discussion author and martial artist Cynthia Vespia will use the principles of combat and break down the choreography of a fight step by step to show you how to use the same techniques they use in Hollywood to build believable fight scenes for your novels.
Cynthia was drawn to writing early on in life where she established a successful career as a freelance journalist. Throughout that time she remained true to her passion of writing novels and the creative outlet immersing in fiction brought with it.  The author of four novels and a short story, Cynthia specializes in writing mainstream suspense fiction with savagely powerful characters and strong storylines. Cynthia likes to refer to her novels as “Real life situations that you could find yourself in but hope to God you never do.” In her spare time she  enjoys reading, movies that involve a strong plot/characters, and  keeping active through various forms of martial arts and as an active  fitness competitor.
